Width

If you have a pole, measure the pole width excluding the end finials.

If you have a track, measure the total width.

If you have no pole or track
Measure the width of the window reveal, then add to this how far you would like your curtains to run past each side of the window reveal.

Length

You need to decide how long you want your curtains to be. They are usually hung:
Sill length (A): Measure 0.5cm above the sill or to your requirements.
Below sill (B): 15-20 cm below the sill or 3cm above a radiator
Floor length (C): Measure 1cm above the floor or just touching
Kicked (D): Measure 2/3cm on the floor
Puddled (E): Allow 15-30 cm on the floor.
Take three measurements as floors or sills are not always level and take the shortest of the measurements.

For a track:
Measure from the top of the track to the required length.

For a pole:
Measure from the underside of the pole ring to the required length.
